Malfunction

ENGLISH TEXT BELOW

Malfunction.
Kein Totalschaden.
Nur ein verdammt ehrliches Wartungsschild im Kopf.

ENGLISH TEXT

"It’s not just that a piece is missing her, it’s that a warning sign has been rammed right into the brain while it’s still in full operation."

**Malfunction**

What was going on inside my head probably wasn't just simple chaos.
It was more like that moment when the system is still running, but no one really knows exactly *why* anymore.

There’s a sign stuck right in the middle of the brain: **Malfunction**. Not beside it. Not in front of it. Straight *in* it. As if someone on the outside had decided: "Right, let's officially mark the damage here." And the brain just stands there somehow exposed, somehow wounded with that missing puzzle piece that says, with uncomfortable honesty: "Something just doesn't fit right here."

At first, the image feels like dark humor and yes, you probably need a dose of that if you want to remain even remotely tolerable to yourself. But beneath that lies this sense of internal disruption. Not "broken" in the sense of "no longer usable," but rather like a machine that has been running far too long without maintenance. Too many thoughts. Too much pressure. Too many minor crashes that you kept packaging up for the outside world with a cheerful "everything’s fine."

And perhaps that is precisely the point: This image doesn't say, "I am lost."
It says: "Something is wrong here—and I’m finally going to stop pretending that this is normal."

The missing puzzle piece doesn't make the situation hopeless. It simply indicates that something is still being sought. Perhaps peace. The ironic twist is that the puzzle piece itself is actually the wrong one it simply doesn't fit. The search must go on. Perhaps clarity. Perhaps peace. Perhaps a little less "functioning" and a little more "being human."

Malfunction.
Not a total write-off.
Just a damn honest maintenance sign inside my head.
